Before taking this course

This is an advanced course and a solid climbing foundation is required to take part. You should be able to confidently lead 5.10- sport climbing and know all of the technical aspects of sport climbing. You will likely get more out of the course if you also have a strong foundation of traditional climbing skills. If you aren’t sure this course is for you please reach out and we can chat about it!

Learn about route development from the ground up! We will start with the ethics of route development and how to put up new routes responsibly. From there we will get into all the dirty details of what is the most adventurous aspect of rock climbing.
